Part of Silent Movie Weekend 2026! Celebrate the 100th anniversary of one of silent cinema’s greatest comedies: Buster Keaton’s The General (1926), presented on the big screen with live piano accompaniment by celebrated visiting pianist Bruce Vogt.

Keaton’s dazzling blend of deadpan comedy, breathtaking stunt work and locomotive spectacle remains as exhilarating a century later as it was in 1926 — and there’s no better way to experience it than with a live, improvised score.

The program will begin with Charlie Chaplin’s delightful short comedy The Adventurer (1917), making this a double dose of silent-era brilliance.
